We were looking to remodel a second home we purchased for our retirement. We lived in the Dallas area at the time, so we needed someone completely trustworthy who had exemplary sub-contractors and personal integrity because we couldn’t be at the job sight very often. Our friend recommended Montgomery Homes after they did a new construction project for her. We called and quickly had an in-home meeting and discussion.
Our remodel was extensive, involving a refresh of the laundry room, painting all inside doors and trim 2 bathroom “gut jobs”, and an almost complete remodel of the kitchen including granite installation, installing a custom fit farm sink, cutting back and rebuilding the kitchen island, painting, new lighting, and a repainting of our cabinetry, among other improvements. The bathrooms were both COMPLETELY redone.
Montgomery Homes is known for their custom cabinetry, and we were not disappointed! Both bathrooms now sport “comfort height” custom cabinetry and shelving! The master bath involved a total re-configuration which included taking out a bathtub, turning the existing shower into a linen closet, building a floor-to-ceiling custom medicine cabinet, and building a huge, glass master shower from scratch!! It is AMAZING!
The best compliment we can give besides incredible workmanship and attention to detail, is that Randy Montgomery LISTENS. He personally met with us, walked through our house, gave advice and suggestions while never changing our original ideas, and guided us to the best possible decisions on the occasional misstep we made in our plans. He said many, many times “This is your house, and we will do whatever you want!”
We felt entirely comfortable leaving our house – for weeks at a time – in Randy Montgomery’s very professional hands! We had such peace of mind knowing he knew exactly how to make our vision a reality. He took time to send pictures and ALWAYS consulted us on any daily or weekly decisions. He handled things that were probably outside the scope of our contract because he knew we were 200 miles away. We are convinced he saved us money where he could on supplies and fixtures.
Randy Montgomery personally oversaw our project daily even though it was a very busy time for his company with new construction. He never treated our remodel as “less than” or less important than any other job he had going.
Randy Montgomery completed his obligations of the contract 100% – and to our 100% satisfaction!! Not only was our contract completed on-time, it was completed a little early because we unexpectedly had to move home to Oklahoma early!!
